It was really terrific to see so many good friends this past weekend at the Convention in Columbia. I have never, and I mean never, seen this type of confidence and enthusiasm among party leaders in South Carolina. We're believing in ourselves and our ability to win and move South Carolina forward and I adore it!
Another "I have never" was the standing ovation you District 1 folks gave me in the caucus!! And the memory of the "Linda, Linda, Linda" chant will always humble me and also keep my battery charged for months! And, let's not forget how well we sang Zachius!
I was glad for the opportunity to share my plan for a new path forward for South Carolina and for our country. The "same old" just won't do anymore, and I am tremendously grateful for the endorsement of so many leaders who agree that now is our time here in the 1st district.
Thank you to former Governor Jim Hodges, Senator John Land and Representative Leon Howard. Thank you to Councilwoman Colleen Condon, Former Chairman Joe Erwin and South Carolina College Dem President Jamarr Brown. Your support, and the support of those who respect and trust you will go a long way towards building the type of grassroots momentum we need for victory in November.
Thank you also to all those who invested in this campaign last quarter. If you haven't heard, we outraised Henry Brown by nearly 3-1. In fact, we were among the top campaigns in the country for fundraising between January and March.
We are moving forward strong and prepared to change the way business is done here and across the country.

It is us that should be thanking you
Ms. Ketner,
It is us citizens that should be thanking you! Over the many years, us citiizens in SC have heard over and over that this is a Republican State and no Democrat can be elected. Although I admire anyone willing to put themselves through this process, our choices have been rather lackluster. Now we finally have a person who is more than qualified, well spoken, and who cares about all of the citizens in this district. I could not be happier.
So allow us to thank you for giving the people of South Carolina hope that things can improve. Thank you for being the shining example of how a congress person should be. Thank you for running.
Energy Policy
Hi Joe,
Take a look under the Issues link above to read a little about my energy policy. If you have more questions after reading it, please let me hear from you!
We're working hard to get women registered and voting! Please encourage everyone you know to register and vote ... in the primary and the general. Both are important!
Thanks for writing!
Linda
Beating Henry
Henry will carry votes of young, white conservative male South Carolinians. Why do registered male voters outnumber female registrants by more than 2 to 1 in Charleston County? Young women 18 - 30 are the ones who will vote dem. Does all of this reflect the whole of District 1?
Have you thought about energy policy? You and the other newest congress-person from an oil producing state are tapped to draft a comprehensive energy bill. What are the main points? Can you use the ideas to get voters away from Henry?
